Epcot is one of my favorite parks! It brings creative culture with tantalizing treats from around the world in this one organized circle around (and get this) a lake in Florida! Want to go to Italy? The music, the smell, the architecture, cast members from the country...and the food! You can experience all of it and then some in one trip!
Epcot is seasonally changing the theme with its scheduled festivals. If you go in the fall during Food and Wine festival your visit will be completely different in February during the Festival of Arts. And let me add during each of these festivals certain food items, artist, or concert series also change so it brings you a new experience even during that specific festival.
Are you looking up flights?! I don't blame you but in the mean time, why not bring Epcot home! I got this idea when I invited our good friends over for dinner. It was my friend Jamie's birthday and we wanted to do a little something fun and special. We take a week long trip with them every fall...this has been going on for over 10 years now! So I thought if we can't be at Epcot then why not bring Epcot to NC! Below are tips on how to get the ball rolling and through out the next few weeks I will share recipes and the fun stops we created for each country.
Pulled up the Map and started the planning adventure.
2. My daughter designed a flag for each of the countries. It definitely took her a while but if you get all the kids involved it would be a really fun project. She looked each of them up, designed the flag, and hot glued gun it to a skewer stick.
3. Menu...I tried to think about things we loved most about each country. Featured drink, small plate of food, desert, etc. This definitely took some time and I was making dishes I've never tried before. I love to cook and entertain. A lot of these dishes were a first for me which is not my usual plan but I had some great foodie critics in the room.
4. Music...Each country we played some fun music! Or a specific Disney movie soundtrack like Coco for Mexico.
5. Attire...the kids really got involved and switched out hats and fun Epcot items we have collected over the years.
6. And let's begin! Through out these next few weeks, I will load up details for each country we "visited" and our tasting plus recipes so you can make it at home.
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
