A refreshing and fun first stop...lets begin with Mexico!
First some snacks...nothing fancy on this end but some chips, salsa and white queso will do the trick. The most important item is a Jalapeno Margarita. I definitely can not take full credit for this delicious concoction. Thank you to my sister that is one of the best bartenders I know...absolutely my favorite and a special treat. Thanks Elle!
Ingredients:
- 4 slices of jalapeno (NO SEEDS)
- 2 slices of lime
- 1/2 shot of agave nectar (might need more depending on how sour the limes are)
- 2 shots of tequila. Recommend using Casamigos Blanco
- 1 shot of triple sec
- 2 shots of fresh lime juice. Use a juicer. I actually have one of those attachments for my Kitchen Aid mixer. I barely use the darn thing and hate having more large equipment take over my kitchen cabinets. Kitchen Aid actually has quite a few attachments that I recommend you ordering. Just search "KitchenAid® Citrus Juicer"
Now let's put it all together!
Put 4 slices of jalapenos, 1 lime slice and agave in a glass. Muddle ingredients. Add ice, add tequila, add triple sec, AND add lime juice. Shake. Serve with 1 lime slice as garnish.
Salud!
